Advocacy to Put Young People First

Together we can create a brighter future for all kids with impactful advocacy to drive systemic change.

Our Theory of Change

Britebound’s theory of change is simple: every young person deserves early, equitable access to the experiences that help them make informed education and career decisions. In middle school, we help states widen career exploration so students can see how learning leads to real opportunities. In high school, we back scalable, industry-aligned work-based learning that builds skills, connections, and confidence.

Using our Policy Matrix, we align research, philanthropy, and advocacy to help states adopt coherent policies that connect career exploration, work-based learning, and postsecondary navigation to move toward a unified national career-readiness system.

CareerReadyHQ Compass

CareerReadyHQ offers an interactive, state-by-state view of the career-readiness landscape. It shows each state’s policies on career exploration, work-based learning, and postsecondary navigation, and spotlights the nonprofits, initiatives, and Britebound supported efforts shaping that ecosystem.

Highlighted Initiatives

Middle School Learning and Impact Network

Research shows that a longer career-exploration runway helps students make more informed, confident decisions on their path to meaningful careers. To support that, Britebound commissioned the Education Strategy Group (ESG) to produce a national report on career-exploration efforts for grades 5–8, with clear implications and recommendations for state and local leaders.

In partnership with ESG, we’re building a coalition of catalyst states to accelerate systemic change in middle-school career exploration. Through grants, coaching, and technical assistance, the network helps states strengthen infrastructure, scale effective programs, and become national leaders in career-connected learning.

State Strategy

Britebound works with state leaders to build policies and systems that connect career exploration, work-based learning, and postsecondary navigation into one unified framework. We focus on a mix of priority states—both established and emerging partners—to pilot and scale best practices through policy adoption, philanthropy, and on-the-ground support.

Policy Deliverables

Our policy deliverables are built through deep collaboration between research, policy, and PR teams. We work together to translate insight into action, expanding the career-exploration runway and giving states the tools to build coherent, future-ready systems. Each brief, roadmap, and messaging guide is designed to help leaders move quickly from evidence to implementation, strengthening career-connected learning for every student.
